Vitamin K2 is a collective term for a series of compounds containing 2-methyl - (1,4) - naphthoquinone ring and side chains of isoprene units at the C-3 position. According to the number of isoprene units in the side chain, vitamin K2 can be divided into 14 compounds, denoted as MK-n. Among them, Menaquinone-7 (MK-7) represents 7 isoprene units in the side chain, which is an important form of vitamin K2 and one of the indispensable vitamins in the human body. 

BioEssence™ K2 MK-7 is a fat soluble vitamin. It can be used as an antioxidant and skin protector in different formulas. In laboratory testing, BioEssence™ K2 MK-7 shows good antioxidant properties on cells and can help human epidermal cells resist oxidative damage, so as to protect the skin on the surface of human body.
